A TEENAGE girl has died after being hit by a train as her heartbroken friends and family pay tribute to the "beautiful angel".
Mary Beary, 16, tragically died at the scene on Tuesday night despite ambulance and police crews working tirelessly to revive her.
Mary was struck by a train at 10pm at Broxbourne Station in Hertfordshire.
Since her sudden passing, the teen's family and friends have paid heartfelt tributes to the "well liked" girl.
Mary's second cousin Caroline Rocky, from Ireland, shared her sympathy to the rest of their family, reported.
She wrote: "I just wanted to say sorry to my Uncle Donie, Eileen, cousin Dan and his wife Pamela and her brothers and all the family for the loss of such a beautiful young girl.
"God only takes the best."
Yesterday, she was named locally as people shared their their heartache following the tragic incident.

Daisy Appleton, who also knew Mary, said: "Mary was a very young stunning girl. She was very well known around the community and she was very well liked.
"She will be sadly missed by her poor boyfriend Jerry and her family.
"I will miss you Mary and will keep you in my prayers."
Other locals also paid tributes to the teen, as Sharyn Ward added: "Very sad to hear this. May she rest in peace beautiful angel and praying for her poor mommy and daddy and family."
Rachael Richards said: "She was a lovely, beautiful young girl, so heartbreaking."
The tragedy caused disruption on the Greater Anglia train network between Liverpool Street and Stansted Airport until Wednesday morning.
A spokesperson for the British Transport Police (BTP) said: "This incident is not currently being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
