Smiling Carrie Symonds seen leaving Downing Street hours after she and Boris snuck back into No10 by the backdoor at midnight

SMILING Carrie Symonds has been seen leaving No10 this afternoon.

Boris' partner was seen getting into a car at the back of the building wearing a summery yellow outfit.

It comes just hours after she was spotted putting a loving arm around boyfriend Boris Johnson as they were seen going into No10 by the backdoor last night.

Photographs from show the PM's 31-year-old partner grinning as the couple arrived back in Downing Street just before midnight.

Carrie had been snapped earlier that day wearing a red and green dress, and was ushered into a car by two bodyguards.

And yesterday boxes from John Lewis were seen going in the front door - thought to be belongings for the new PM and Carrie.

The PM officially moved in on Monday, but he's been on a whistle-stop tour of the UK for the past few days.

Boris has visited Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland in an attempt to shore up support back at home, and has spoken to several world leaders on the phone too.

The pair, who are the first unmarried couple to live together in Downing Street, have chosen to stay in the flat above No11 instead of the smaller residence above No10.

They had been living together in Carrie's flat in Camberwell, South London, but were forced to move after their neighbours recorded them having a furious row, and called the police.

The pair have bought another home, also in Camberwell.

So far Carrie has kept out of the limelight since Boris has entered No10.

She was there to watch him make his first speech on the steps of Downing Street last Wednesday, but hasn't been seen much since.

Carrie spent some of the weekend at the PM's Chequers residence, it was revealed earlier this week.

It's believed the couple will be furnishing the home out of their own pockets after No10 revealed "there will not be any additional cost to the taxpayer".

And Carrie won't have any publicly funded staff working for her either.

It was reported earlier this week that Carrie has spoken to former 'First Lady' Samantha Cameron about life in No10.

She's currently working as a senior adviser to Oceana on helping rid the seas of plastics.

She tweeted last night about the news that there's been a huge drop in Brits buying plastic bags since a charge was introduced.

"SO much more to do but this is certainly progress," she said.

"It shows that if we stop and think we can quite easily reduce the amount of single-use plastic we use. The best way to do that though is for manufacturers to produce proper alternatives to plastic that don’t pollute our oceans."
