BORIS Johnson has ripped Jeremy Corbyn to shreds in his first Commons speech as PM, accusing him of being captured by 'body snatchers' like in the hit film.

The new Prime Minister tore into the Labour boss at his first outing in Parliament today, saying he has been "captured, jugulated and reprogrammed" by his Remainer mates into backing another referendum.

In a furious blast this lunchtime, Mr Corbyn accused people of being unable to trust the new PM.

But Boris raged back: "Did anybody notice today the terrible metamorphosis that happened today?

"Like the final scene of Invasion of the Body Snatchers?

"At last this long standing Eurosceptic, the Right Honourable Gentleman, has been captured, jugulated, reprogrammed by his friends!

"He has been turned now into a Remainer!

"He has turned Labour into the party of Remain."

And for all his "flip-flops in his career", that is what he will pay the highest price for, Boris blasted.

The Tories are truly the party on the side of the people, he insisted.

"This party, this Government is clearly on the side of democracy...

"This party that is on the side of the people who voted so overwhelmingly in 2016.

"This party will deliver the mandate which they gave to this Parliament. They promised time and time and time again to deliver.

"The reality is now, that we are the party of the people."

A 1950s science fiction novel The Body Snatchers inspired several hit films - and saw aliens took over human bodies and rid them of all human emotion.

Boris today called on Brexit-blocking MPs to "restore trust in democracy" by allowing Britain to leave the EU at last in his first Commons speech.

The Prime Minister had minutes earlier told his Cabinet of Brexiteers at their first meeting that the UK must leave "on October 31 or indeed earlier - no ifs, no buts" and vowed to crack on immediately.

He then faced down rebellious MPs and warned they must stop obstructing Brexit or face a furious backlash from voters.
