Even The Queen is suffering in heatwave as £550 Dyson fan is spotted at Buckingham Palace
THE Queen was spotted cooling down with a Dyson fan as she met new PM Boris Johnson at Buckingham Palace today.
A trendy £550 metallic Dyson could be seen in the corner of the room as Boris bowed to the Monarch this afternoon.
Brexiteer Boris had a private meeting with Her Majesty marking the start of his time in office.
Eagle-eyed viewers were quick to spot the Queen’s fan.
ROYAL FAN
TalkRadio's James Max tweeted "Next they’ll be claiming that The Queen is a #Brexit supporter because she has a Dyson fan!".
Another tweeter wrote: "Nice to see the queen keeping cool with a @Dyson fan!! She’s officially an influencer!"
While fan wrote: “Great product placement ! Think it was a Dyson. Their marketing team need to get on it straight away".
Sir James Dyson has been vocal in his backing of Brexit despite deciding to move his vacuum empire to Singapore.
But even the average Brit might be tempted to splash out on his pricey fans as the country basks in a sizzling heatwave with temperatures soaring to 32C and the mercury set to rise above 40C tomorrow - the hottest Thursday in British history.
Humidity could make the real temperature feel like 44C, according to some forecasters.
Met Office meteorologist Sophie Yeomans told the Evening Standard: “It’s likely we’ll see up to 39C around London, East Anglia, Suffolk, Essex and Kent.
“And there’s a chance we could even reach 40C.”
BORIS BECOMES PM
But Johnson will have more to worry about in his day in No10 than the weather.
On the day of a historic handover of power:
- The new PM drew up a top table of leading Brexiteers
- Four pro-Remain ministers quit rather than serve under Boris
- Theresa May made an emotional final speech outside No10
- She used her final session of Prime Minister's Questions to back Mr Johnson and slam Jeremy Corbyn
- Mr Johnson will shortly take up residence at 10 Downing Street and will make his first speech as PM in the street outside.
He was not accompanied by girlfriend Carrie Symonds for his meeting with the Queen.
Her Majesty will have asked the Conservative leader to guarantee that he can command a majority in the House of Commons.
His first act on entering No10 will be to write letters to the commanding officers of Britain's nuclear submarines.
The notes will instruct them on what to do in the event of a successful nuclear strike on the UK.
He will then start making appointments to his Cabinet, with several top jobs expected to be filled by the end of the day.
A group of Greenpeace protesters tried to block BoJo's path to power by forming a human chain across the Mall to block his convoy's route to the Palace.
Police had to shove the activists out of the way to allow the new Prime Minister to keep his appointment with the Queen.

This morning, Mr Johnson made a bid to shore up his Brexiteer credentials with the appointment of Vote Leave boss Dominic Cummings as a senior advisor.
The eccentric campaigner was central to delivering the Leave vote in 2016 and could be a sign Boris intends to take a tough line in talks with the EU.
He's expected to appoint top Brexiteer MPs to his Cabinet over the next 24 hours with Priti Patel and Dominic Raab set for senior jobs.
