BORIS Johnson's Remainer dad says he will deliver Brexit "in a flash" as the family celebrated his landslide win - but there was no sign of girlfriend Carrie Symonds.
The 31-year-old was nowhere to be seen as BoJo proudly accepted the keys to No 10 after defeating rival Jeremy Hunt by twice as many votes.
BoJo, 55, was supported in his speech by his dad Stanley, sister Rachel and brother Jo - despite the Johnson family sharing differing views on Brexit in the past.
Stanley, 78, who appeared on I'm a Celebrity in 2017 and recently with campmate Georgia "Toff" Toffolo on Celebrity Gogglebox, was a Conservative MEP between 1979 and 1984.
In April, he applied to stand in the Euro elections for the Tories - but was later rejected after "failing to catch the selectors’ eye".
Speaking today, Stanley said: "I have the face of a proud father, I am a proud father. What a day, folks.
"He's going to be fine. We'll get rid of this small, technical problem of Brexit. We can get Brexit done in a flash and then they can concentrate on other things.
"It hasn't taken Boris three years, it has taken the country three years, I think we will find that it will move very, very rapidly now."
Imagine this is a game of rugger and you're in the front row and you have to get the ball over the line
Stanley Johnson
Asked what advice he will give to his son, he told The Sun: "Imagine this is a game of rugger and you're in the front row and you have to get the ball over the line.
"Not just Brexit - but Brexit in a way is the least of the problems. He has so much opportunity ahead of him. So many key issues in the world today - if I think of climate change and deforestation - these sort of things that we need to be looking at, absolutely. So my advice is keep at it and he got a very, very good start today."
Stanley added: "He's got masses to do now and as far as I'm concerned the key thing is going to reach out to the other countries in the EU to make sure they understand that Boris really does mean business on this.
"Honestly I think the big challenge is going to be in the capitals of Europe for them to realise that they've got to move - they've got to move.
Sister Rachel was also all smiles today as her brother was named the next Prime Minister - despite once famously disagreeing with her brother over the question of Britain's EU membership.
In 2016 as Boris proved himself to be a Brexit-backing juggernaut, she instead campaigned for Remain during the referendum and following the result joined the Lib Dems.
The journalist also whipped her top off on Sky News to get people talking about Brexit.
Meanwhile, younger brother Jo served as Minister of State for Transport for 11 months before resigning over Theresa May's Brexit deal.
NO SIGN OF CARRIE
It isn't clear why Carrie wasn't joining in the celebrations, but it is understood she may be keeping a low profile as the new Tory leader isn't divorced from wife Marina.
The former Tory spin doctor also didn't want to "overshadow" his big moment after the pair hit the headlines following an explosive row at her home last month.
She is now expected to quietly move into Downing Street over the weekend after Boris has chosen his Cabinet - making them the first unmarried couple to live in the PM’s official residence.
But Carrie is going to play a behind-the-scenes role and will accompany Boris to "schmooze" MPs at private parties at Chequers.
RISE TO BRITAIN'S FIRST LADY
It is a world away from the start of their relationship, when she was at his side at the launch of his leadership campaign last month.
Carrie’s rise to Britain’s first lady comes despite claims of a fiery bust-up with cops called to her flat last month.
Neighbours in Camberwell, South London, recorded the row in which Carrie was alleged to have screamed: “Get off me”.
Since then, she has also posed with him in a “staged” photo, and went ring shopping in Notting Hill, West London.
