Carrie Symonds WILL live with Boris Johnson in No10 if he becomes Prime Minister, the first time an unmarried couple has lived there
BORIS Johnson is ready to move Carrie Symonds into No10 Downing Street.
They would be the first unmarried couple to live in the PM’s official residence.
Boris, 55 — set for a storming Tory leadership triumph over Jeremy Hunt — has been dating the 31-year-old former spin doctor for nearly a year.
A friend said: “They’ve been living together a while and have agreed it will carry on if he wins on Tuesday.”
Carrie’s rise to Britain’s first lady comes despite claims of a fiery bust-up with cops called to her flat last month. Neighbours in Camberwell, South London, recorded the row in which Carrie was alleged to have screamed: “Get off me”.
No action was taken and the couple quashed rumours they were splitting. Carrie’s No10 move was revealed by a friend of the couple to Sun columnist James Forsyth.
She was spotted at the launch of Mr Johnson’s leadership campaign last month and is credited with securing him the backing of at least six female MPs.
One ally recently said: “Like Theresa May with Philip, Boris trusts Carrie completely.”
He spent yesterday deciding the first jobs for his new team.
But the move risks a backlash among some key supporters. And there will be questions about whether Carrie can hob-nob with foreign leaders and royalty.
