Jeremy Corbyn urged to suspend another top Labour official in new anti-Semitism slur row

JEREMY Corbyn is under pressure to suspend another top official after Labour’s new membership head was embroiled in an anti-Semitism slur.

Jules Rutherford, due to start her job on Monday, retweeted a post claiming allegations of anti-Semitism by party members had been trumped up to damage Labour members.

The tweet she shared also dismissed anti-Semitism slurs as “lies”.

The original post was by Jack Jazz, who linked to a video by Professor Norman Finkelstein describing anti-Semitism as “witch-hunt hysteria”.

He said: “Jews were the spearhead of the campaign to stop Corbyn.

“The British elites could not have got away with calling Corbyn an anti-semite unless they had the visible support of all the leading Jewish organisations.”
