Girl, 2, ‘abducted by her dad, 75,’ found safe after cops issue amber alert warning she’s in ‘extreme danger’
COPS have tracked down a two-year-old girl who they warned was in "extreme danger" after being abducted by her dad in the US.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency had issued an "amber alert" for little Catalina Chloe Rimpsey and said she was snatched by her father Freddy, 75, on Wednesday morning.
Catalina was last seen in Anniston city at around 11am local time - but officers have since announced she has been found safe.
She was said to be in "extreme danger" after being kidnapped, according to the alert.
Police suspected Rimpsey was driving the youngster to Chicago in a navy and tan 1999 Ford Econoline E150 van.
The tot was described as a black girl with black hair and brown eyes, who is 31 inches tall and weighs 31 pounds.
Police said her father is a black male with black hair and brown eyes, who is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 215 pounds.

He is known to visit a store on the Alabama-Georgia state line to play the lottery on Wednesdays.
The alert said: "Catalina Rimpsey was seen last at Anniston, Alabama around 11.30am on July 3, 2019 and is believed to be in extreme danger."
Authorities urged anyone with any information regarding Catalina's whereabouts to contact the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office at 256-236-6600; or call 911.
The alleged kidnapping comes after an eight-year-old girl was dragged away from her mother in the street and bundled into a car in Texas last month.
Salem Sabatka, 8, was taken from her mother in Fort Worth and driven to a hotel after her mum desperately tried to fight off a male abductor.
The panicked mother was caught on surveillance video yelling "help, call the police" as the vehicle sped off.
