POLICE have arrested a second man on suspicion of murder after a heavily pregnant woman was stabbed to death - with her baby miraculously delivered at the scene.
Kelly Mary Fauvrelle, 26, became the capital's 64th murder victim following the "horrific" attack in Thornton Heath, near Croydon.
Paramedics were remarkably able to deliver her baby, who is still fighting for its life in hospital following the stabbing at 3.30am on Saturday.
Cops today confirmed a 29-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder was being quizzed in custody at a South London police station.
A 37-year-old man held on Saturday has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
They said: "Detectives investigating the murder of a pregnant woman in Croydon have made a second arrest and have named the victim as Kelly Mary Fauvrelle.
"Next of kin have been informed. A post-mortem examination will be held in due course."
HORRIFIC ATTACK
Kelly Mary, who was eight months pregnant, was in cardiac arrest but her baby survived the incident.
In February she uploaded an ultrasound image to her Facebook page and wrote: "We can't wait to meet you."
Horrified neighbours reported hearing "screaming" coming from the home in the early hours of Saturday morning.
One told : "Later on I saw another woman come out and just collapse on the street."
Scotland Yard has not released the gender of the baby who is currently in a critical condition.
The force added that they are keeping an open mind regarding the motive for the attack.
Detective Chief Inspector Mick Norman said: "This is a horrific incident in which a young mother has lost her life and her child is critically ill.

"Our sympathies go out to her devastated family; they are being supported by specially trained officers following this awful event.
"I would ask that they are left alone at this time as they come to terms with the enormity of what has happened.
"A large crime scene is in place, and is likely to be in place for some time.
TRAGIC
"At the forefront of our enquiries is understanding what exactly has lead to these tragic circumstances, and we are doing everything we can to establish the facts."
"Residents should be aware that if they have any concerns, or information they would like to share with us, that they can speak to any of the officers there, or call our incident room on 020 8721 4005.
"Alternatively please use the anonymous methods of reporting information to the police, such as Crimestoppers, if you wish."
The woman became the capital 64th murder victim since the start of 2019.
