Mystery mime artist who ‘conned carnival goers out of £105’ hands over the cash
A MYSTERY mime artist feared to have conned carnival goers out of £105 has handed over the cash.
The Sun told how the man, in a black and white “morphsuit”, invited people to pay £1 to guess his identity to win £100.
But he left without the big reveal last Saturday.
The man later put the cash in a vicar’s postbox. In a quick phone message he asked for it to be delivered to fete organiser Sue Anderson.
Sue, of Woolaston, Gloucs, said: “I was gobsmacked. I don’t know if all the publicity meant things got too hot for him and he felt guilty.
“Or maybe he was always well-intentioned and just erred by not handing over the money on the day.
“Everybody is still trying to guess who he is.”

Sue was waiting to be put through to Adrian Chiles on Radio 5 Live to talk about the mystery when she heard the doorbell ring and the cleric turned up with the cash.
“I ran downstairs and the vicar, who is retired and no longer lives in the village, was there with an envelope containing money from the mystery man,” she said.
“It had been put in his postbox late at night and he’d had a very brief message on the phone telling him what it was and asking him to please deliver it to us.”
