A TEENAGER was fatally stabbed in the heart while he was out buying milk for his mum, friends have claimed.
Yusuf Mohamed, 18, was found in a pool of blood on Uxbridge Road in Shepherd's Bush about 9.20pm on Wednesday night.
Cops and medics from the London Ambulance and London Air Ambulance battled to save him.
But he was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later, Scotland Yard said yesterday - another victim of London's knife crime epidemic.
A family friend today said the 18-year-old had nine GCSEs, describing him as a "good kid".
He said: "His mum had sent him out to buy milk. He only lives a few minutes from here and that's what he was doing. "The boy that stabbed him was about 15-years-old.
"He was stabbed outside and he ran into the shop to the back where there are stairs to the basement to get away, and the other boy ran after him and stabbed him again."
He said the teen's mother had "collapsed" when she heard the devastating news.
'HE RAN FOR COVER'
A customer witnessed the horrific attack, claiming to have seen two men fighting before the teen was stabbed.
He said: "I was in the shop last night and saw two people fighting. It was short and brief.
"One of them ran in for cover. He had already been stabbed when he came in.
"The ambulance came in and the paramedics tried to save him.
"There was a trail of blood from outside coming into the shop."
All traces of blood had been mopped up although some spatters could be seen on a shopping basket holder.
A worker claimed he had seen CCTV of the attack, which is now being examined by police.

He said: "There were two men, both black, one that was stabbed and the other that stabbed him.
"The teenager was on the street outside the shop and a man came up to him and stabbed him.
"He stabbed him in the chest in the heart.
"They tried to save him inside. The attacker ran away down the street."
Details of the victim have not yet been released as officers continue to inform his next of kin.
A post-mortem examination established the teen died from a stab wound.
KNIFE CRIME CRISIS
Cops have issued a Section 60 order for the area until at least this afternoon - allowing officers greater stop-and-search powers.
It's the latest in a harrowing spate of bloodshed as London's violent crime crisis continues to spiral out of control.
The total number of homicides in the capital this year has now risen to at least 59.
Earlier this month, London was left reeling after three suspected murders in 24 hours.
It included the deaths of two teenagers - who were killed just 12 minutes apart in separate gun and knife attacks.

Det Insp Luke Wyllie
Detective Chief Inspector Rob Pack said: "I would reiterate my appeal to local residents or anyone who was in the area at the time of the stabbing who has information about this incident but has yet to come forward.
"We have already carried out extensive CCTV enquiries in the vicinity and analysis of footage continues. I am still particularly keen to speak with anyone who saw two males, possibly aged in their teens, who we know ran from the scene heading in the direction of Wormholt Park.
"They then took the underpass under the Westway towards East Acton Underground Station. This is a busy area and a number of people would have been in the area at the time. Did you see them? They may well have stood out as they would have been out of breath.
"It is important that we speak with them and find out exactly what happened.”
