BRITAIN’S favourite cocktail is the pornstar martini, we can reveal.

The vodka, passion-fruit puree, vanilla and lime juice mix accounts for more than one in seven sold.

Nine million of us often buy cocktails and the number of licensed premises selling them is up seven per cent in a year.

Experts say there are two clear trends — one for shorter, stronger “more complex” drinks, like Martini cocktails, and the second for longer, more refreshing drinks, like the Tom Collins.

Despite the image of a bartender mixing them, 63 per cent have bought draught cocktails and 83 per cent bottles or cans.
