OJ Simpson says he’s loving life 25 years after THOSE infamous murders
OJ SIMPSON says he is healthy, happy and his life has entered a “no negative zone” 25 years after his infamous murder trial.
Living it up in Las Vegas, the fallen sports legend says he is not looking back on June 12, 1994, the day he was accused of killing his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman.
Speaking to the , Simpson said: “We don’t need to go back and re-live the worst day of our lives.”
“The subject of the moment is the subject I will never revisit again.
“My family and I have moved on to what we call the ‘no negative zone.’
“We focus on the positives.”
Simpson was released from prison in October 2017 after serving nine years in Las Vegas for a robbery-kidnapping conviction – the murder case remains unsolved.
A former footballer, Simpson was once a multimillionaire, but said most of this fortune was spent defending his honour in the infamous “trial of the century” that was his televised case.
A LUXURIOUS LIFE AFTER JAIL
Since he was released from prison, notorious O.J Simpson appears to be enjoying retirement in Las Vegas, where he lives in a friend’s house in a luxurious gated community.
He reportedly plays golf every day and has been spotted attending birthday parties in Las Vegas, and a lawyer told the Associated Press that Simpson was “very much enjoying his time in Vegas”.
In 2017, close friend Tom Scotto told that OJ was enjoying “simple pleasures”.
He said: “He wants to go to Florida, he wants to see his family and hug his family on the outside of prison.
“He wants to enjoy the very simple pleasures that he hasn’t enjoyed in nine years. He’s going to get the latest iPhone.”
“He wants to eat seafood; he wants to eat steak.
“He wants to enjoy the very simple pleasures that he hasn’t enjoyed in nine years.
“He’s going to get the latest iPhone.”
In 2017, the year he was released from jail, reports said O.J he was kicked out of a Vegas hotel after a drunken scuffle at a luxury bar called Clique.
CONNECTED TO THE KARDASHIANS
Last year, Simpson finally came out and denied that he was Khloe Kardashian’s father after decades of speculation.
The ex-con’s trial was led by the Kardashian dad Robert, who shot the family to fame after he defended the ex-footballer during the televised trial.
Khloe’s mum Kris Jenner and her late dad were very good friends with OJ and often holidayed with him and his late wife Nicole Brown.
The identity of Khloe’s father has been the subject of rumours for many years, thanks to her slightly different appearance to her famous sisters.
He told : “Well, for Bob [Kardashian], God bless his soul, yeah. I don’t know for me. I don’t think for me I have nothing to do with it.
“I would be proud … but trust me, I had nothing to do with it.”
MAKING MONEY FROM PUBLICITY
Simpson has reportedly been making money off televised interviews and a hefty pension he still receives from the NFL and the Screen Actors Guild – up to £19,000.
Even though he’s still got debts of over £5,000,000 to pay back to the families of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson, he seems to be living comfortably and making money from photos and autographs for fans.
Last year, he appeared on an episode of Sacha Baron Cohen’s spoof show ‘Who is America?’ and high-fived the comedian when he was confronted over the killings.
Though he still believes the ruling was unfair, he said he has made peace with the legal system.
He said: “I believe in the legal system and I honoured it.
“I served my time.”
