Pregnant robber on the run from police was arrested one hour after giving birth
A PREGNANT robber on the run from police was arrested one hour after giving birth in hospital.
Chantelle Riley, 32, kept watch for a knifeman as he raided a Subway.
She turned fugitive after begging a judge to delay sentencing so she would not have her daughter in jail.
She failed to show at her next court appearance and police eventually caught up with her at her hospital bedside.
CCTV of the raid in Liverpool showed her in pink pyjamas meeting the thug outside before she “feigned she was a victim” inside the branch.
Riley also tried to stop a worker fleeing as the robber held a knife to manager Matthew Ward’s throat and stole £350.
She was jailed for three years and four months after admitting robbery at Liverpool crown court.
The knifeman has not been caught.
