A BRIT reveller is fighting for life after a brutal late-night assault on a Zante stag do.

The man, 35, was set on by two men outside a bar in Laganas on Tuesday last week.

A video circulated on social media captured the moment the unknown male, who is believed to be from Somerset, is knocked unconscious with a single blow whilst trying to protect his head from the oncoming attack.

One of the two shirtless males is seen punching the victim in the head before he falls off the pavement and into the road.

He was left with a "severe head injury" and received first aid at a local hospital before being airlifted to a hospital, the Greek capital of Athens.

He was airlifted to a hospital in Athens where he remains in a critical condition.

Two men, aged 22 and 25, have reportedly been arrested in connection with the assault.

A spokesman for the Foreign Office confirmed the incident is being investigated..

A spokesman said: "We are assisting the family of a British man who has been hospitalised in Greece, and are in contact with the hospital and local authorities."
