Amir Khan’s parents say boxer hasn’t spoken to them for six months because of ‘controlling’ wife Faryal Makhdoom
BOXER Amir Khan has not spoken to his parents in six months and they blame his wife Faryal Makhdoom for their bitter fallout, it has been reported.
Shah Khan, Amir's father, has branded his son's wife controlling and has also accused her of trying to break the family apart.
In a heartbreaking interview Mr Khan claims Faryal has turned their former light-welterweight world champion boxer son against him.
He told : "They want to control everything about Amir. They're running the show.
"They say that I've robbed him. They've turned him against us."
Mr Khan told the website the latest squabble started last November when Amir and Faryal went to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah, the Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca.
He claims Amir exchanged social media messages with Mariyah, his youngest sister, which were reportedly "not nice".
He couldn't believe his 32-year-old son sent those messages and had planned to ask Amir about when he returned, but Mr Khan has yet to see his son in person.
PUBLIC FEUD
Amir's family publicly fell out with Faryal and her family between 2016 and 2017.
The 27-year-old accused them of violence and bullying and in response they branded her "evil" and a bad mother.
The public dispute let to Amir announcing he was divorcing his model wife but called it off when she announced she was pregnant with her second child.
Amir had also caused a storm after accusing his wife of cheating on him with Anthony Joshua - which both denied.
Faryal fired back accusing her husband of being a 'bad role model' and 'bad around women'.
Their six-year marriage has been tested by Amir's cheating and womanising.
The Sun revealed he cheated with a beautician just 17 days after the birth of his second daughter in April 2018.
The pair have five-year-old Lamisah and one-year-old Alayna.
Amir and Faryal got married in a ceremony that cost move than £1million six years ago.
Mr Khan says he believed he and Faryal had buried the hatchet when she apologised in person.
The 58-year-old said he thought they put things behind them and when Amir was on I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here, she would watch the show with the family.
'THEY ARE CONTROLLING HIM'
Mr Khan said he felt the need to publicly speak out following reports Amir was selling his £1.2million Bolton home in a bid to get away from his family and to save his marriage.
Mr Khan added: "That really annoyed me. We've not even spoken to the guy so what the hell is his problem.
"The bottom line is that Amir's mother-in-law and and wife want him as far away from his family as possible."
The Sun exclusively revealed last week that he was now house-hunting in Ascot, Berkshire, and told pals he needs to move away from his family who live nearby in Bolton.
Pals say the realisation came after mum-of-two Faryal joined him in New York for his world title defeat to Terence Crawford at Madison Square Garden, last month.
The friend said: "Amir knows he has to grow up and the quality time he spent in New York for the Crawford fight with Faryal, without his family who have been with him on every step of his boxing career.
"He wants to make his marriage work and knows in order to do that he needs to get out of Bolton where his family are so close.
"His family have been there for his whole career but he's 32-years-old now and thinks its time to leave the nest."

The only contact Mr Khan has reportedly had with Amir was after his defeat to Crawford, when he texted his son to ask how he was.
The message just said there were no injuries, he was sore, but everything else was fine.
The Sun Online has contacted Amir's representatives for comment.
