EXHAUSTED children were forced to sleep on luggage last night as MORE flights were cancelled in today's flight chaos.
Thousands were marooned last night after a power cut left flights grounded due to a refuelling issue, with many told only hours later they would not be taking off.
A total of 87 flights were cancelled yesterday with dozens more delayed, as passengers flooded the three terminals to find out if theirs were affected.
Distraught parents shared photos of their kids falling asleep wherever they could - often on top of holiday bags in the middle of crowded terminals.
'NOT IDEAL'
Passenger Heather Lucas tweeted a picture of her child sprawled across several seats, writing: "Being stuck at Manchester Airport isn’t ideal when you have a 7 year old and a 10 year old but our holiday spirit will not be beaten!"
This morning Manchester Airport confirmed engineers had resolved the power issue affecting the fuel supply.
But Flybe have already scrapped four flights this morning after the airport warned of a "small number" of delays and cancellations.
Stuck on the tarmac for hours, barely any information from the airline or airport, none of it useful. Are we leaving or not? What happens next? Shambles as always

However, the airport has said that some of the delays are due to foggy weather rather than yesterday's disruption.
An estimated 17,000 passengers were affected by the power outage, after planes were left unable to take off last night due to not being able to refuel.
Some were moved to hotels after a three-hour wait, in the hope of getting a flight in the morning.
Planes in need of refuelling were unable to take off, while inbound flights were diverted to other airports or delayed before departure at airports across Europe.

Furious passengers yesterday blasted the delays as "absolute carnage", "chaos" and a "total shambles".
Some pre-fuelled planes were taking passengers to nearby airports, including Nottingham, to be refuelled again before continuing their route.
In its latest statement issued early this morning, Manchester Airport said most flights would operate "as planned" today but urged passengers to check with their airline before flying.
