SCORE ON JEW HATE

Labour activists plan to use an anti-Semitism scorecard to name and shame politicians

Confidence has been lost in Jeremy Corbyn’s ability to kick racists out

JEWISH Labour activists will name and shame politicians with an anti-Semitism score card.

The Jewish Labour Movement has written to all of the the party’s MEP candidates quizzing them on their views on the racism crisis blowing the party apart.

And the group, which has been affiliated to the Labour Party for 99 years, plan to do the same to the party’s MPs.

The group said they have taken the dramatic step after losing all confidence in Jeremy Corbyn’s ability to kick racists out of the party.

The results will be published and politicians who fail the test singled out.

Mike Katz, chairman of the JLM, told The Sun: “There is a crisis of anti-Jewish hate both in the Labour Party and across Europe.

“JLM members and the Jewish community want to know that Labour’s MEP candidates are real allies in our fight against this hate and will take concrete action against it.

“At one time, we’d never have felt the need to ask these questions.

“That we have to now is a sorry reflection on our party and the state of conspiracy-driven Jew-hate on the left.”

The JLM emailed all of Labour‘s wannabe MEPs on Tuesday to ask them questions to test their commitment to making the party a “safe place” for Jews.

LABOUR CRISIS

Questions include if they back demands for Mr Corbyn to do more to boot racists out, and if they call out anti Jew hate.

The email states: “JLM’s members feel this is an existential moment for them and our relationship with the Labour Party.

“We hope you can show your true solidarity with us and our members.”

The JLM have previously furiously demanded Mr Corbyn quit as Labour leader over his failure to tackle the anti-Semitism crisis.

The JLM are considering different ideas for the design for the score card.

One option is to produce a card with a red cross or green tick next to the politician’s name depending on whether they pass or fail the test.

The result will be uploaded onto their website where voters and activists can view them.
