Heartbroken mum pays tribute to Brit tourist killed in horror moped crash in Vietnam

A HEARTBROKEN mum has paid tribute to her son who was tragically killed in a horror moped crash in Vietnam.
Harrison Wilkinson, 22, was coming to the end of a fortnight's holiday with his girlfriend, Ella Greenwood, who has an aunt in Hanoi, when he came off a moped.
His heartbroken parents, Sam and Andrew Wilkinson, have been comforted by dozens of messages of support from his many friends.
Mum-of-two Sam, from Huddersfield, West Yorks, said: "We don't have that many details yet about precisely what happened.
"All we know is that Harrison was riding a moped on Wednesday afternoon, about 3.30pm, in the Da Nang area of south Vietnam.
"And we think Ella, his girlfriend of two to three years, from Longwood, was a pillion passenger.
"He came off the bike and some passers-by put him in their car and took him to a hospital but medics were unable to save his life.
"Ella, who is a talented jazz pianist suffered some injuries to both her arms. Her poor mother had to ring me and tell me what had happened.”

HUNDREDS TO ATTEND FUNERAL
Around 300 people are expected to attend Harrison’s funeral that is due to take place in two to three weeks.
Sam continued: "Harrison is my eldest son and I was just wanting him to come home safe and sound to celebrate my birthday on Saturday.
"He was a much-loved and extremely popular young man who was about to start a new job as a community support worker with Mencap, (a charity for people with mental disabilities), in Huddersfield.
"It still all feels very unreal. He had a real way with people.
"He was much happier trying to solve other people's problems rather than his own.”
(Harrison) really cared about people and had a huge heart
Andrew, Harrison's dad
Andrew added: "He was with the love of his life having the adventure of a lifetime.
"He was due to fly back on Friday. I should have been picking him up from Heathrow Airport but it was not to be.
"He was just a lovely son of whom any father would have been proud. He was quite unconventional and unorthodox with a very strong artistic streak and really cared about people and had a huge heart.”
