Boy, 15, stabbed to death in Hackney before separate knife attack leaves man with ‘life-threatening’ wounds on another night of London bloodshed
A TEENAGE boy was last night stabbed to death in East London - just hours before a separate bloody attack left a man with "life-threatening" knife wounds in the capital.
The 15-year-old was murdered in Hackney during another night of bloodshed that also saw a man brutally attacked outside Camden Town tube station in North London.
In the Hackney rampage, a 16-year-old boy was also found stabbed near the murder scene and was rushed to hospital for treatment.
His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Police and paramedics fought to save the 15-year-old lad but he died at the scene just before 10pm.
Scotland Yard said his family have been informed.
No arrests have been made and the Metropolitan Police put a Section 60 order in place for the whole of Hackney until 7am this morning.
The order allows officers to stop and search anyone in the area.
London Mayor Sadiq Khan tweeted this morning: "I am deeply saddened by the fatal stabbing of a 15-year-old boy in Hackney.
"My thoughts are with his family and loved ones. This horrific violence has absolutely no place on our streets."
CAMDEN KNIFE HORROR
Just hours later, cops rushed to Camden Town tube station at 12.17am this morning after reports that a man had been stabbed.
He was rushed to hospital in a life-threatening condition after being found outside the station.
The victim, whose age and name have not been released, received treatment from paramedics for stab injuries.
No arrests have been made and a crime scene has been established in the area.
Scotland Yard said: "A male was found with stab injuries.
"He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital.
"His condition has been assessed as life-threatening."
KNIFE CRIME EPIDEMIC
The tragic killing in Hackney is the latest in a long list of deaths in the capital as a deadly knife crime epidemic grips London.
There were 1,299 stabbings in the city up to the end of April, according to Scotland Yard.
And last year was London's bloodiest in almost a decade - with the number of homicides rocketing to 135.
The youngest victim of the city's knife crime crisis was 14-year-old Jaden Moodie who was killed in Waltham Forest in January.
Tonight's attack comes days after another man was stabbed to death in Hackney.
Joshua White, 29, was attacked in Homerton, on Friday April 26 and died of his injuries in hospital.
A 16-year-old boy was charged with his murder on Sunday.
And it comes just weeks after a series of seemingly random knife attacks took place over the course of a terrifying three-day period.
Jason Kakaire, 29, will appear at the Old Bailey tomorrow accused of five counts of attempted murder and five counts of possession of an offensive weapon.
KNIFE ARCHES
Last week the Met Police announced plans to install knife arches at London schools in the battle against bloody crimes.
Officers will also have the power to stop and search on the streets – without proving reasonable grounds to suspect that person is carrying a weapon.
The latest crackdown on weapon carrying has been introduced in Lambeth, Wandsworth and Merton in South London.
Figures from the Met Police showed that knife crime surged by 16 per cent in the capital year-on-year in 2018, as Britain's crime epidemic continues.
In 2017-18, there were 137 knife offences for every 100,000 people in the capital.
The number of homicides, including murder and manslaughter, have risen from 649 to 730 - an increase of 14 per cent
