Some attackers stamped on Margaret's head and stomach while one shouted: "Go on, kick the baby out of her".

Margaret was more than eight months pregnant at the time, Kingston Crown Court heard.

McFadyen's mum, Josie Doherty, 45, Doherty's daughter Barbara McFadyen, 22, son Isaac McFadyen, 19, and their cousin 21-year-old Charlie Collins are also accused of attacking the sisters.

All five deny violent disorder after the incident at the nail bar on High Street, Twickenham, on September 1, 2016.

The five relatives spotted the Doyle sisters as they walked past and followed them into the nail bar, Kingston Crown Court heard.

EIGHT MONTHS PREGNANT

James Lachkovic, prosecuting, said: "These five defendants entered that nail bar and directed violence at two sisters of another family, Eileen and Margaret Doyle, who are also members of the travelling community.

"Margaret Doyle was over eight months pregnant at the time.

"There is no dispute that the two families know each other and that for a number of years there has been bad feeling between these two families.

"These defendants entered the nail bar intent upon attacking these two sisters.

"Eileen Doyle is the sister who will be able to identify those people who were involved in the attack.

"She knew prior to September 1 four of the defendants by name and she also knew of Collins but did not know what his name was.

It became clear to her that her pregnant sister was coming under attack. Some were stamping on her head. Others were stamping on her belly

Prosecutor, James Lachkovic

"Eileen Doyle will describe that she was so fearful of attack her first action was to remove her earrings from her ears before she was then set upon.

"It became clear to her that her pregnant sister was also coming under attack.

"She saw Margaret on the floor with three people around her. Some were stamping on her head. Others were stamping on her belly.

"She focused on those attacking her sister."

'KICK THE BABY OUT OF HER'

Mr Lachkovic said that Eileen heard someone shout: "Go on kick the baby out of her".

He added: "Margaret suffers from a number of medical ailments that at the time affected her ability to understand what was going on.

"She is blind in one eye and she had suffered strokes prior to the incident. She is able to describe what happened to her and the injuries she suffered."

ATTACKERS FLED

Police arrived as the attackers fled.

Eileen Doyle was able to point out a motor vehicle leaving the scene which she believed contained some of the people involved in the attack, the court heard.

The defendants deny being involved in any unlawful violence.

Jurors heard Margaret Doyle gave birth to a baby without any complications after the incident.

The prosecutor said while Collins and Doherty deny entering the nail salon, the three McFadyen siblings admit being inside.

Mr Lachkovic said: "Isaac McFadyen says that he was only in the shop very briefly but he was only there to protect his sister who was being attacked."

Josephine McFadyen claims she was outside the nail salon looking after children, but when she went Margaret Doyle attacked her.

Barbara McFadyen claimed to have been dragged into the shop by Eileen Doyle and attacked, the court hard.

Josie Doherty, Josephine McFadyen, Barbara McFadyen and Isaac McFadyen, all of Hounslow Road, Feltham, deny violent disorder.

Collins, of Little Dale Road, Sheffield, denies violent disorder.

The trial continues.
