THE owners of a stunning Grand Designs mansion have slashed the price by £1million after it failed to sell.
The 7,200 square foot property is set in 2.2 acres of land, with six bedrooms, a heated swimming pool - and even its own 3.8 acre private beach.
Despite its luxurious features, the Isle of Wight home has been on the market for six months and is now being listed for less than the £3.3million it cost to build.
The couple who built it had to take out 11 loans to finance the property.
It was originally put on the market for £3.95million in October but the asking price is now £2.99million.
Estate agents Spence Willard originally expected the property to sell for close to £4million.

The palatial pad featured on Channel 4's Grand Designs in 2015 and was described by host Kevin McLoud as "the most expensive project I have followed".
Bram and Lisa Vis's original budget was £835,000 but the home ended up costing three times as much at £2.2million for the build alone.
Adding in the £935,000 cost of the land, the couple estimate that they spent as much as £3.3million in total.
During filming, accountant Bram said: "The mortgages are not necessarily a problem. Paying them off might be a problem.

The homeowner
"We are not really worried about that at the moment because we are more worried about getting the money to finish off the house."
The home also boasts a spa bath, games room, music room, gym and laundry room.
It features a triple-glazed windows and heated floors.
The new owners will have a choice of six bedrooms, and the master suite even comes with its own roof terrace.
It also has two kitchens, two studies, a playroom, three bathrooms, plant room and three storage rooms.
Kevin said on the show: "It is going to look like a case study house of international modernism.
"There is that, there is also a faint whiff of footballers' wives about this place."
