BUNCH OF HYPOCRITES

Extinction Rebellion SLAMMED for ordering white roses jetted 5,000 miles from Colombia

ECO protesters were yesterday accused of “rank hypocrisy” for ordering flowers flown 5,290 miles from Colombia for a PR stunt.

Extinction Rebellion wanted 650 white roses to hand out to MPs at Parliament.

Florist Dennis Edwards accused the eco-warriors of ‘rank hypocrisy’

Protester Kevin Boon made the order of flowers flown 5,290 miles from Colombia

Florist Dennis Edwards says protester Kevin Boon placed the order despite being told they came from South America.

And he claims they asked him to deliver them in his van — but he couldn’t because the group had blocked the roads in central London.

Dennis, who runs a flower stall in New Covent Garden, said: “I offered British alternatives, but they called back and said they wanted to go with the white roses. It’s ridiculous.”

As he was unable to deliver the flowers, Mr Boon later placed another order with a different florist — who supplied roses from Holland.
