PRINCE Harry today joined the Queen at an Easter Sunday church service without his heavily pregnant wife Meghan - fuelling speculation that the royal baby is imminent.

The Duchess, who is due any day now, earlier extended her birthday wishes to her grandmother-in-law, who turns 93 today.

But as members of the royal family arrived at St George's Chapel for the Sunday service, the expectant mother was nowhere to be seen.

Prince Harry, 34, instead joined Kate and Wills and their grandmother the Queen, looking resplendent in a pastel blue coat and matching hat.

Harry and Meghan earlier wrote on Instagram: "Happy Birthday Your Majesty, Ma'am, Granny. Wishing you the most wonderful day! Harry & Meghan."

April 21 - the day the Queen was born - is the first of the monarch's two birthdays.

But the Queen's big day could well be overshadowed by any murmur that Meghan's baby could be due.

The arrival of the Duchess' mother in Britain also stoked excitement about the imminent birth, The Sun yesterday revealed.

Doria Ragland, 62, has hired a house sitter and dog walker, cancelled her yoga class and got a pal to put out her bins.

MUM'S THE WORD

One told The Sun On Sunday: “Like all mums, Doria wants to be there for her daughter at this seismic event in her life.

“She has sometimes worried about being so far away but she is absolutely going to be there for her at the birth.

"She wants to spend as much time as possible with her first grandchild and has come over for a sustained period of time."

Meghan's absence may have come as a surprise to some today, given Frogmore Cottage lies just two miles from the chapel.

QUEEN'S BIG DAY

As well as today, the Queen also has an official birthday on the second Saturday in June each year, which is commemorated with the Trooping the Colour parade.

Gun salutes are also fired as a mark of respect to the Queen on her special day - but never on a Sunday, so this year they will be delayed by one day.

On Monday, the King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery will ride their horses and gun carriages past Buckingham Palace en route to Hyde Park to stage a 41 Gun Royal Salute at noon.

A 62-gun salute will also be performed by the Honourable Artillery Company at the Tower of London at 1pm the same day.

The Queen traditionally spends a month-long residence at Windsor Castle, known as Easter Court, each year.

Princess Elizabeth Alexandra Mary was born at 2.40am on April 21 1926, the first child of the then Duke and Duchess of York, at 17 Bruton Street, the Mayfair home of her mother's parents, the Earl and Countess of Strathmore.

She was never expected to be Queen when she was born, but the abdication of her uncle Edward VIII in 1936 put her father George VI on the throne, and changed her destiny.
