Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to move to Windsor’s Frogmore Cottage ‘within days’ ahead of royal baby
The couple have reportedly made constant design changes which have put the builders behind schedule
THE Duke and Duchess of Sussex will more into their newly refurbished pad "within days" and in time for the birth of their child, royal sources have claimed.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were granted permission to move from their London base and take possession of Frogmore Cottage which is nestled in the grounds of Windsor Castle's Home Park in Berkshire.
Former actress Meghan is believed to be entering the final weeks of her pregnancy and The Sun on Sunday revealed today that she has chosen to shun giving birth in the Lindo Wing.
The wing is where both Diana and Kate Middleton gave birth and has been used by the Royal Family for the past 40 years.
The pair were due to be given their keys to the renovated cottage this month, but works to the properties layout have taken longer than expected.
A source told the Sunday Express: "They haven't spent their first night there yet but it's only a matter of days now."
It is days like today when I really miss having her around, and miss being able to share the happy news."
Prince Harry on his mum Diana
The Grade II-listed home is being transformed back into one house after it was split into five separate units for Royal staff to use.
Meghan is said to be working with leading interior designer Vicky James, who has taken down several internal walls to created five en-suite bedrooms, a kitchen diner, a sweeping staircase and a yoga room.
The royal couple have also opted for a £50,000 eco boiler and replaced the windows with child proof glass.
They have also split their house hold from Prince William's and will be joining other families with an office at Buckingham Palace for their household.
The couple's final Mother's Day without a child
Today is Meghan's last Mother's Day before she gives birth and will be a poignant time for Harry as he reflects on his own mum.
The Prince has previously spoken about how much he misses his mother who died in a car crash when he was 12.
In the couples' engagement interview in November 2017 he said: "It is days like today when I really miss having her around, and miss being able to share the happy news."
Meghan is close to her mu Doria Ragland who has visited the couple several times since they got married.
In her now defunct blog the royal said: "My mother raised me to be a global citizen, with eyes open to sometimes harsh realities."
