Shamima Begum ‘ill, traumatised and mourning’ death of baby son as lawyer begs for her to be allowed back to UK
He has just returned from visiting camp where the Brit teen was moved to by the Syrian Defence Forces after she was threatened by ISIS supporters
ISIS bride Shamima Begum is sick, traumatised and mourning the death of her newborn baby son, the runaway's lawyer has revealed.
Tasnime Akunjee spoke on his return from Syria's al-Roj refugee camp, where his client is holed up, and renewed his plea for her to be allowed back into the UK.
He has just returned from visiting camp where the Brit teen was moved to by the Syrian Defence Forces after she was threatened by ISIS supporters at another site.
The campaigning lawyer managed to get within 50 metres of the 19-year-old's tent but was prevented from seeing her by the authorities.
However he has revealed she is ill, traumatised and mourning her baby son, who was born healthy but died from pneumonia on 8 March,
A paramedic at the scene said the tot was having breathing difficulties and was taken to hospital along with his mother.
But the baby - called Jarrah - couldn't be saved and passed away after suffering from a lung infection related to pneumonia.
Akunjee blames the Home Secretary, Sajid Javid, who had stripped Begum of her British citizenship, for the child’s death.
“If you could give me his personal phone number I believe I’d probably get arrested because of what I’d say,” he told the :
He is now fully determined to bring Begum back to London and believes he will eventually succeed.
“What Javid has done is not just morally appalling but fundamentally flawed legally," he said.
"We trust in the judiciary, which is independent and will apply the law correctly, as opposed to handing politicians the power to decide the fate of people without due process."
He also shockingly claimed terror group ISIS based its caliphate on the state of Israel.
"ISIS learned a lot from Israel about how to build an expansionist state.
"Israel can go into Palestinian territory and build buildings there, then it will call on people from abroad to join the state-building exercise.
'ISIS BASED ON ISRAEL'
“ISIS copied their model directly from Israel. You have Israel calling on Jews from around the world… they have an automatic right to be a citizen of Israel.
"That’s exactly the same as ISIS, in the sense that if you’re Muslim and you come over here, you’ll be looked after.”
Begum and two teen pals from London– Kadiza Sultana and Amira Abase – ran away to Syria in February 2015.
The trio flew to Turkey and then crossed the border with the aid of people smuggling gangs.
Within weeks of arriving, Begum was married to ISIS jihadi Yago Riedijk, 27, from Holland. They had two children who died from malnutrition and disease.
Riedijk, 26, a convert to Islam who grew up in a middle-class family home in Arnhem, is suspected by police of being involved in a terrorist plot in the Netherlands.
The teen's family have also started their legal challenge to reverse the decision to strip her of her UK citizenship.
The family argue the Home Secretary's decision was unfair because hundreds of other Brits who joined the terror group have been allowed to return.

Appeals have been lodged with the Special Immigration Appeals Commission and another will be launched at the High Court against Javid's decision.
Begum's lawyer had travelled all the way to Syria so she could sign documents for her appeal against the removal of her citizenship.
But he was unable to get Begum’s signature on the paperwork as the al-Roj camp in the north east of the country has been put on "lockdown".
