FASHION giant Ted Baker is selling a jacket which could pose a danger to heart patients.
The £279 garment has a magnetic fastening below the left shoulder.
But the feature can disrupt pacemakers, fitted in hundreds of thousands of people to keep their hearts beating properly.
Kay Havard, 57, of Orpington, Kent, claimed the jacket made her seriously ill when it stopped her pacemaker three times.
She said: “Someone dependent on a pacemaker could be killed by it. There should be a warning somewhere on there telling you about the magnet.”
Ted Baker has racks of the jackets at its busiest branches in Bluewater, Kent, and London Bridge.

It also sells a longer coat version for £329, also with the 2p-sized magnet fastener — but none carry warnings of the potential threat to pacemakers.
Cardiologist Professor Tim Chico warned: “It would stop it from treating a life-threatening rhythm.”
Ted Baker said it had changed the description online, would add new labels and rebrief staff.
