The Sun is officially Britain’s most read newspaper and website with 28.25MILLION readers

THE Sun is top of the newspaper charts once again this month.

New readership figures from industry experts PAMCo have confirmed that The Sun remains Britain’s No1 news outfit, with an audience just shy of 30 million every month — about half of the entire population.

Some 8.25 million people read the paper every month, and we reach another 20 million-plus with our website and our new and improved app.

Five million mums get their dose of news, lifestyle and money-saving tips from The Sun each month, and more than eight million football fans are kept up to date with the latest gossip from behind the scenes.

The figures are the only ones which take into account a mix of print and digital readership.

The Sun and Sun on Sunday have also received nominations for best newspaper, best Sunday newspaper and best website at the annual Press Awards, the industry Oscars, on April 2.
