VIOLENT crime is soaring four times faster outside of London - and now you can find out how dangerous your area really is.
The capital has seen a wave in bloody crime this year already, with at least 135 fatal stabbings alone.
But crime outside the capital has soared by an average of 51 per cent in the past two years - compared to 12 per cent in London.
County Lines operations - involving urban crack and heroin dealers branching out into small towns – may have contributed to the sharp rise.
has used figures provided by police on and cross referenced them with Ministry of Justice figures to provide the most recent three years of data, from January 2016 to December 2018.
For every postcode, the tracker allows you to search by census geography in England and Wales as well as "violence and sexual offences".
That category includes more than 300 crimes, including rape, manslaughter, harassment and rape, as street-level data cannot be broken down any further.
There are "some limitations" to the data due to a small number of records being duplicated or missing some information, The Times reports.
