PRINCE Charles has been left speechless as Danny Dyer cheerfully informed him they were related today.
The future king couldn't hide his surprise as the Cockney actor revealed they were both descended from King Edward II of England as they shook hands at the Prince's Trust this afternoon.
As the pair met, Danny informed the 70-year-old royal he was in East Enders before adding: "Just wanted to let you know we're related."
Prince Charles seemed surprised as an aide laughed at the actor's bold declaration.
The Prince of Wales was today attending the National Prince's Trust and TK Maxx & Homesense Awards 2019 held at the London Palladium.
Danny had discovered the family connection on a 2016 appearance on Who Do you Think You Are?
As well as a set of relatives from working-class areas of London, researchers also discovered a blood link with Thomas Cromwell, an English lawyer who was chief minister to King Henry VIII.
And earlier this year, the 41-year-old travelled to Sweden and France as part of his documentary Danny Dyer's Right Royal Family that explored the lives of his aristocratic ancestors.
