ISIS bride Shamima Begum's baby died yesterday of pneumonia after being rushed to hospital with a lung infection.

Innocent Jarrah, who was a British citizen, is now the teen's third child to die after she fled the UK to join up with the terror group in Syria.

A paramedic at the scene told the the tot was having breathing difficulties and was taken to hospital along with Begum on Thursday morning.

But the baby couldn't be saved and passed away yesterday at 1.30pm local time after suffering from a lung infection.

Jarrah's skin "turned blue and went cold" before his passing, according to a friend of Begum, reported .

The jihadi bride was later taken back to the refugee camp in Syria to bury her child, the paramedic added.

There had been some confusion earlier over whether the baby was still alive, but the Syrian Defence Force (SDF) has tonight confirmed his death.

'HE WAS A BRITISH CITIZEN'

The SDF earlier branded it "fake news" when reports began to spread online after family lawyer revealed the death on Twitter.

He said: "We have strong but as yet unconfirmed reports that Shamima Begum's son has died.

"He was a British Citizen."

Mr Akunjee added tonight: "It is confirmed he is dead".

A Government spokesperson said: “The death of any child is tragic and deeply distressing for the family.

“The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has consistently advised against travel to Syria since April 2011.

“The Government will continue to do whatever we can to prevent people from being drawn into terrorism and travelling to dangerous conflict zones.”

Begum claimed last month that her son - named after a 7th century Islamic warlord - was unwell and she would not allow him to return to the UK alone.

In an interview with Sky News she said: "I am struggling to get my supplies in right now.

"I don't have a card because they lost my card, so I have to run around to take care of my son now, when I am sick. I am not getting my stuff."

At the time, her – currently held in a Kurdish-run jail – claimed he wanted to take her and his baby to the Netherlands.

Begum reportedly fled the al-Hol refugee camp after getting death threats from other jihadi families for speaking out about life under the terror regime.

And she has long said she is desperate to be back in London insisting she deserves "sympathy".

Home Secretary Sajid Javid had previously admitted her son's citizenship rights would not be affected - as some experts said she might use him to stage a homecoming.

However when asked whether there was any plan for Begum's son, Mr Javid told the Commons it would be "incredibly difficult" for the Government to facilitate the return of any child from Syria.

"If it is possible somehow for a British child to be brought to a place where there is a British consular presence, the closest place - it might be Turkey for example - in those circumstances I guess potentially it is possible to arrange for some sort of help with the consent of the parent," he added.

"Inside Syria, whether in a camp or maybe somewhere else, there is no British consular presence."

It is thought Shamima used her older sister's passport to fly from Gatwick to Turkey with two other teenage girls in February 2015.

She was smuggled over the border to Syria and within weeks was married to Riedijk.

Shamima resurfaced at a refugee camp in Syria last month and told reporters she wanted to come home.

But she sparked fury when she said the Manchester Arena suicide bombing was justified and claimed she deserved more sympathy.

The teen also said she did not regret joining ISIS, adding she had a "good time" under the terror regime and said seeing severed heads “didn’t faze me at all”.

She gave birth to her third child in the camp – after her first two died of disease and malnutrition – and had hoped the child would be her passport back to the UK.

At the time of the birth, lawyer Mr Akunjee announced: "We the family of Shamima Begum have been informed that Shamima has given birth to her child, we understand that she and the baby are in good health."

Yesterday Begum's father blamed the UK authorities for letting her flee to Syria.

In an interview from his home in Bangladesh, Ahmed Ali, 60, said: “The British immigration system is very informed, the most informed system in the world.

"I always say how did (Shamima) get there using another one’s passport? She doesn’t even have her own passport. These matters should be investigated.”

He renewed calls for the government to allow his daughter to return to the UK to face punishment.

The Foreign Office has been contacted for confirmation over the reports of the baby's death.
