MEGHAN Markle was dragged on stage today by Prince Harry as the royal dad-to-be made a cringe-worthy speech at a charity event.

The once wild-living prince displayed his new 'woke' credentials to a crowd of millennials who he told were the "greatest generation of all time".

The Duke of Sussex was speaking at a WE Day UK event at Wembley Arena, London, earlier today.

In his speech, the prince said: "You guys know if you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.

"So let that be your true north. Let that be your call to action, to inspire those who stand for nothing to stand for something, and to stand with you.

"So, what's next? What's on your to-do list, starting now?"

He urged the crowd to be "braver", "stronger" and "be kind to each other."

Daring them to be the "greatest generation of all time", he added they need to have "less screen time and more face-to-face time."

In a list that would definitely please eco-conscious Meghan, the dad-to-be said they need to "exceed expectations, eliminate plastics, conserve water, protect wildlife and their unique habitat."

Finishing his speech, he urged them to "keep empathy alive" and "ask your friends how they are doing and listen to the answer".

I am with you and we are with you. Get to work

Harry then declared: "I'm now going to drag my wife on stage", prompting screams of delight from the audience before going to collect Meghan from her seat.

The Duchess briefly joined Harry on the stage after he gave the cringe-worthy speech to thousands of screaming young people.

The pair hugged and stood with their arms around one another as Harry told the crowd: "I am with you and we are with you. Get to work."

WE was founded in 1995 by a 12-year-old who wanted to combat child labour.

The charity has now spread "to include a sustainable model of international development, called WE Villages, that works to alleviate the root causes of poverty in nine countries around the world."

Each year they host WE Day UK, which school kids can get tickets to by "taking action on one local and one global issue through WE Schools".

STAR-STUDDED LINE UP

Heavily pregnant Meghan looked coy on stage as she waved to the crowd and cuddled up to her husband who was a guest speaker alongside Naomi Campbell, Liam Payne and Nicole Scherzinger.

The Duchess of Sussex is due to give birth to the couple's first child next month.

While the pair have not revealed the gender of their child, bookies have been slashing odds on what its name will be - and Diana has been revealed as the favourite, with odds currently standing at 10/1.

The name Alice has come in at second place with odds of 12/1 followed by Victoria and Alexandra with odds of 14/1 and 16/1 respectively.

It's believed the loved-up parents-to-be are keeping the baby's gender a surprise, after a clip of Meghan emerged online in which the royal appeared to reveal she and Harry are waiting to find out whether the baby is a boy or a girl.

However, if the new arrival does turn out to be a boy, punters are placing their bets on Arthur being the name of choice with odds of 12/1.

Edward and James are also a popular choice with odds of 16/1.
