THIS is the Eye-watering moment a rock climber dislocates her elbow after falling while bouldering at a centre in Swindon.

A manager at the rock climbing gym where the injury occurred said the woman, who was in her 20s, also suffered a sprained knee, but was set to make a full recovery.

In the video the woman loses her footing at the top of a bouldering problem, and falls, taking the impact on her arm, which twists to 90 degrees.

The manager said the woman was on one of her last climbs of the night at Rockstar Climbing, and had completed the route in the past but wanted to prove it on video.

He told the Sun Online: "She was very unfortunate, just through how she fell."

"Both of her feet slipped one at a time and it caused her to rotate, and she couldn't control that rotation."

"Although the matting softens the blow, depending on how you land, you can still get injured."

She hasn't watched the video. The last time I checked with her she said 'no, I still haven't watched it'

Statistically, the manager said climbing and bouldering were very safe for being a contact sport.

The accident occurred on February 2.

"We've seen her four or five times since then."

"She's moving a lot better, she's walking fine."

It was two agonising hours before the elbow could be reset, but the hospital expect the injury to heal fine.

Bouldering does not involve a rope or harness, and is generally restricted to climbs of less than four and a half metres.

The climber is expected to be out for a couple of months before she can boulder again.

The manager said: "She hasn't watched the video. The last time I checked with her she said 'no, I still haven't watched it'"
