FANS of tragic British rapper Cadet who was killed on the way to a gig have slammed a vile troll who asked for a ticket refund.

The 28-year-old, real name Blaine Cameron Johnson, was travelling to Keele University in Staffordshire when the taxi he was in crashed with a van.

Paramedics desperately battled to save the grime artist but he sadly died at the scene in Batley at around 1.30am.

The university's student union confirmed his tragic passing en route to the venue and offered its condolences on Twitter today.

Responding to the tweet, one social media user named Jordi Foxx tweeted: "What about full/partial refunds for the people who brought tickets to see Cadet? the description for the event was literally 'Cadet live at Keele SU'."

But fans responded with fury at the comment, blasting the troll as having "no respect" just hours after the musician's death.

FANS' FURY

Alina said: "He died, nobody could have predicted that. Have some respect?"

To this the troll responded: "Would it not be respectful for KeeleSU to donate the money then?"

Another said: "Have some respect he died not even 24 hours ago".

Katie wrote: "If all you posh kids at Keele Uni are worried about your 'refund' for the tickets for Cadets gig that he died getting to, you are actual scum. Forgot a fiver is more important than someone’s life."

Another person replied: "Are you clappt? It was legit £5 how are you crying for a partial refund.. have some respect it was hardly a no show for nothing, the man died."

Staffordshire Police were called to a crash involving a Toyota Prius and a red Vauxhall Combo van on the A531 in Betley in the early hours of Saturday.

Both drivers, a 36-year-old man from Stoke-on-Trent and a 22-year-old man from Crewe, suffered serious injuries and taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital.

Three other passengers, whose identities are currently not known, who were also in the taxi were treated at Leighton Hospital in Crewe, cops said.

FAMILY'S HEARTACHE

Cadet's heartbroken family confirmed his death in a statement on his Instagram before making his account private.

"Right now we the family appreciate your patience and will share with you any information as and when we can. Thanks for your support in advance."

Police appealed for witnesses following an accident in Newcastle-under-Lyme, but would not confirm the identity of the man who died.

"At just before 1.30am this morning (Saturday) police were called to reports of a two-vehicle collision involving a silver Toyota Prius and a red Vauxhall Combo van," they said.

"Emergency services attended and a passenger of the Toyota, a 28-year-old man from London, sadly died at the scene. Specialist officers are supporting the man's family."

TRIBUTES TO RAPPER

Fellow rappers paid tribute after the grime artist's shock death on Saturday.

Example wrote on Twitter: "Was chatting to you only last week about how excited you were for some festivals this summer. So much positive energy.

"Smiling nonstop when I was with you, first time we met I felt as if I'd known you my whole life. Mad humble guy. RIP Cadet."

DJ Semtex wrote: "Cant believe it... I was on stage with him last week.

"Never seen a man so happy. Everything was working out for him. This was gonna be his year. We were plotting on the best time to do an interview on his next single. RIP Cadet."

Mega So Solid wrote: "Woke up in shock this morning.... He brought life and substance to the UK music scene."

Cadet, who was from south London and was tipped for success, toured the UK supporting Krept And Konan on their The Long Way Home Tour.

He accumulated millions of views on YouTube and Spotify and was booked to play at this year's Wireless Festival.

The festival had said: "The proclaimed 'Underrated Legend', Cadet stepped into the music scene during the second half of 2015 with a hard-hitting freestyle reaching over half a million views in just a few months.

"This was quickly followed by another heartfelt freestyle, Cadet is tipped for an unstoppable career."
