Michael Jackson’s family feared star was grooming his own son Blanket, 3, and his nephews, police said
During his 2004-05 trial, police claim they spoke to an 'immediate' relative of Jackson who said his family had known for years that the entertainer was a paedophile
MICHAEL Jackson’s family feared he was grooming his own son three-year-old Blanket for sexual abuse, police have said.
Santa Barbara County detectives also quizzed two of the Thriller singer’s nephews over claims they had been assaulted by their famous uncle.
During the 2004-05 investigation into the star, police claim they spoke to an "immediate" relative of Jackson who said his family had known for years that the Billy Jean songwriter was a paedophile.
A detective claimed that the close relative “said he feared there were several nephews who had already been victimised and that he also feared that Jackson’s own son (Blanket) was being groomed by Jackson for unsavoury behaviour.”
However, cops were unable to prosecute the wealthy superstar because the family member would not testify against him, the reported.
None of the allegations have ever been proven and Jackson's son Blanket, real name Prince Michael, who is aged 16 now, has never stated that he suffered any kind of abuse while living with his father.
Cops flew to Las Vegas during Jackson’s 2004-05 trial to speak to the Jackson relative who claimed the drug-addicted singer had a “predilection for prepubescent boys.”
A prosecution source said: “What he told us was eye-opening. He told us that Jackson had for years tried to hide his predilection for prepubescent boys.”
“However the family member said Jackson had also been addicted to all kinds of drugs and often was too screwed up to even realise that others were witnessing his touching little boys.
Katherine implied that Hollywood turned Jackson gay
“This family member said he feared that there were several nephews, including his own son and Jacko’s own son, who may have been victims.”
The unnamed man also said that Jacko’s mother Katherine knew about her son’s allegedly depraved sexual urges, the source claimed.
They said: “The family member told us that Katherine Jackson more than anyone else knew about her son’s activities with boys but was too embarrassed to do anything about it.
“He told us that Katherine implied that Hollywood turned Jackson gay, which had nothing to do with his being a paedophile.”
The family member refused to testify during the trial because he feared he would have been shunned from the Jackson family and may have even been killed, the source said.
In 1993, Michael's sister LaToya claimed that Katherine had shown her cheques written to the parents of "little boys".
She said: “My mother is very much aware of the children that were there. All the boys that stayed there.
“She’s the one who always said that Michael, excuse my expression ‘that f****t.’"
LaToya spoke out following allegations that her brother molested 13-year-old Jordan Chandler - claims which were later dropped when his family were paid $23m by the superstar.
Jackson had a total of 23 nephews and nieces along with three children of his own – Prince, daughter Paris and youngest son Prince Michael, who was affectionately nicknamed Blanket.
Santa Barbara County detectives said they interviewed two of the eccentric entertainer’s nephews after received a credible tip about alleged abuse.
ALLEGATIONS OF ABUSE
A former county detective said that “as with many things that happened during the investigation, Jackson’s people got wind of it and Jackson spirited the one boy off to an island.”
The police officer claims Jackson attempted to “shut the nephew up” by a buying him a brand new car along with the expensive island getaway.
A prosecution source also said that when two detectives spoke to the 18-year-old nephew said he was “unwilling to talk bad about his uncle.”
The source added: “It was odd that he wasn’t upset with the visit, he wasn’t upset that the detectives told them what they had suspected happened between he and Michael and he never gave a real denial.”
The second nephew denied being sexually abused by Jackson.
In 2016, Radar Online were sued by four of the late-performer’s nephews following claims by a private investigator that Jacko used scantily-clad pictures of them to use excite little boys.
The pictures, taken at a photoshoot, showed Jackson's nephews TJ, Taj and Taryll posing with their superstar uncle to promote their boy band 3T.
Jackson attorney Brian Oxman dismissed the allegations insisting the photos in question were “reminiscent of Kim Kardashian on the cover of GQ magazine.”
He said: “Taryll is standing naked with a shirt in front of him. It is reminiscent of Kim Kardashian on the cover of GQ magazine.
