Girl, 15, who disappeared on the way to school in Worcestershire two days ago found safe after police appeal
West Mercia Police said Sarniya Hussain from Redditch had been found 'safe and well'
COPS have said the teenage schoolgirl who had gone missing on Friday has been found "safe and well".
Sarniya Hussain, 15, from Redditch, Worcs, went missing on Friday after she left home to go to school but never arrived.
In a statement issued today by West Mercia Police they said the schoolgirl had been found.
It said: "Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal to find missing 15-year-old Sarniya Hussain from Redditch. We're pleased to report she has been found safe and well."
On Friday she was spotted at 8am that day but reported missing shortly after when she didn’t appear at school, West Mercia Police said in a statement.
Sarniya was wearing her navy Ridgeway Academy uniform and the school has urged people with any information on her whereabouts to contact the police.
The force said: "Police have issued an urgent appeal to try to find missing 15-year-old girl Sarniya Hussain, not seen since Friday (1 February).
"The Redditch teenager hasn't been seen since 8am on Friday and was reported missing a short time later when she didn't show up to school.
"Sarniya is Asian, 5ft 3in tall with brown eyes and very long hair.
"She was last seen wearing a navy Ridgeway School blazer, white shirt, black skirt, black tights and black shoes.
"If anyone has information they should call 101."
Ridgeway Academy tweeted a link to the appeal on the West Mercia Police website.

Separately, cops are still looking for Hull University student Libby Squire who went missing on Thursday night.
In another missing persons case, Thames Valley Police are appealing for information on missing student Daniel Williams, 19, who was last seen in a Student Union bar on Whiteknights campus at the University of Reading.
