Brit traveller family who terrorised New Zealand vow to cash in on infamy with £10k deal and expose ‘hell’ of their treatment

Patriarch Larry Doran vowed to 'explain the horrors we've been through' after touching down at Heathrow with the rest of his family this morning

A FAMILY of Brit travellers who trashed a beach and terrorised New Zealand are set to cash in on their new found fame - and say they've been "to hell and back."

Patriach Larry Doran vowed to "explain the horrors we've been through" after touching down at Heathrow with the rest of his family this morning.

The dad claims his family were forced to flee to the mountains for two days to escape "hostilities" - after the Mayor of Auckland slammed them as "worse than pigs."

He said: "We were scared for own safety and had to hide away, the five of us with a seven-month-old baby.

"The Maoris helped us by getting us food and water. They were our only friends there."

He also claimed the car they hired was stolen - and had £1,800 in cash inside.

Even the mayor is calling us names

He hit out at Kiwi cops for "doing nothing about it."

He blasted: "It’s a disgrace. A crime has been committed and they don’t care. Even the mayor is calling us names.

"People tried to intimidate us and ram us off the road when a 5,000 dollar reward was put up to anyone who could find us.

"They called us gipsy scum and made me crash my car setting off all the airbags. It was terrifying.

Our family holiday has been ruined and so has our reputation.

“That’s the type of madness we had to put up with and now we want to tell our story for the right fee.

"We’ve just got home but I’ve got an to agent and we’re going to sell our story. It’s good and it’s worth a lot more than £10,000.

We going to the Citizens Advice people and the Human Rights people.

"Our family holiday - it was me, my wife, my daughter, my son and his wife and the baby - has been ruined and so has our reputation.”

The group of around 12 included brothers John and David Johnson, their partners, children, and mother, Eileen Doran, of Liverpool.

In a radio interview, Auckland Mayor Phil Goff said: “I've asked the council to follow up because I want to see them loaded with an infringement fine for trashing our country. They shouldn't even be here.”

Another member of the group, 26, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged and bailed from Auckland District Court for assault with a weapon, reckless driving, and fraud by dishonestly using a document.

He has been bailed until February.

A member of the family, Tina Marie Cash, who is seven months pregnant, appeared in court after being arrested for thieving four cans of Red Bull from a service station.

The group re-voiced a claim they made to Kiwi media outlet , that their arrival was after a lot of the offences they are accused of took place.

Joe Doran – sarcastically nicknamed Honest John – resorted to dying his hair blonde to avoid being recognised during the later part of the holiday.

The Dorans said they got accused of leaving rubbish on a beach which wasn't theirs.
