NICK Clegg has bought a £6.8million mansion in California as he begins his £1million job as Facebook's top spin doctor.
The former deputy PM bought the five-bedroom home in December - just weeks before moving to the US.
Boasting a swimming pool, hot tub, vast kitchen and library, the property, near San Francisco, was described by estate agents as a "jewel" with "timeless and classic" features.

Sir Nick spent £6.81million on the property - even though he's kept his London townhouse, which is thought to be worth £2million.
In an interview this month Miss Gonzalez Durantez said of the family’s move to the US: "California is the more European of all the states. They are constantly looking to the future."
This week she posted a picture on Instagram of a trip to the beach, saying: "It could be Dorset but it is the Pacific.
