Doria Ragland will step in to help her daughter and Prince Harry rather than the traditional royal practice of hiring a nanny, according to .

Most royal parents, including Prince William and Kate Middleton, chose to hire professional help to raise their little ones.

Harry himself was looked after by his beloved nanny - Tiggy Legge-Bourke - and invited her to his wedding last year.

The couple told the magazine that they did not 'initially' intend on hiring a nanny, it is understood to be room for one in their new home.

DITCHING TRADITIONS

Whether Doria will move to the UK or split her time between here and LA still remains a mystery.

The royal's nannies are often trained at Norland College and wear a distinctive and traditional brown uniform.

They don a below-the-knee dress with Peter Pan collar, brogues, brown hat and gloves and undergo a three-year degree course at the prestigious school.

The nannies then go off and work for rich and famous families - including the royals.

GENDER-NEUTRAL

The pair, who have decided not to find out the sex of the baby until its birth in spring, has been keeping busy by designing the gender-neutral nursery in the grade II listed building.

Frogmore Cottage, built for Queen Charlotte and her unmarried daughters in 1801, is nestled away in the grounds of Frogmore House in Windsor.

Harry, who has a love for gadgets, is said to be ensuring their new arrival's bedroom is secure with high tech precautions.

It's understood that the couple has chosen a white and grey colour scheme for the baby's bedroom too, using vegan paint infused with eucalyptus oil.

Cameras, security windows, and a stereo system will also be installed.

The 37-year-old revealed she is six months pregnant as she met locals in Birkenhead,  Merseyside, during her and Prince Harry's first joint engagement of the year.
