MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry's baby could share a birthday with the Queen as the former actress today revealed she is six months pregnant.

The Duchess of Sussex told delighted fans in Birkenhead that she and husband Prince Harry didn't know whether they were having a boy or girl - instead wanting it to be a surprise.

The former US actress cradled her baby bump throughout today's visit, revealing to excited crowds she was about six months pregnant.

And the mum-to-be let slip to another fan her due date is around the end of April or the beginning of May.

If the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's baby is born in April, the tot could share a birthday with Prince Louis, who was born on April 23, or even the Queen, who was born April 21, 1926.

Kensington Palace announced last year the couple's baby was due in the Spring of 2019, with her due date heavily tipped to be March.

But Meghan's comments to fans reveal she is further along in her pregnancy than previously thought.

The 37-year-old seemed in good spirits for her first royal engagement of the year with husband Prince Harry - wearing a bright red and purple outfit.

Her stunning ensemble included a £107  paired with a red £1,085 Sentaler coat and £1,950 Gabriela Heart bag.

She also wore a bracelet by Bar Jewellery, a young up and coming Brit designer.

The future mum appeared to be prioritising her tot's health, opting to drink mint tea and lemon cake during a visit - saying she couldn't have coffee because of the baby.

And she and Prince Harry appeared to be thrilled as hundreds of people welcomed them to Birkenhead, even gifted a large toy teddy bear.

Meghan was also given bunches of flowers as she walked around for 45 minutes with her husband, chatting to locals.

She has hit the ground running in her role as royal, despite reports she has been crowned "Duchess Difficult" by staff and even butted heads with the Duchess of Cambridge.

The former American actress reportedly made Kate Middleton cry after Princess Charlotte's flower girl dress fitting.

But the rumoured family dramas appeared to be far from Meghan and Harry's minds as they met with fans during a walkabout.

In one particularly sweet encounter, Prince Harry spotted four-year-old Eliza Morris with a sign reading "Gingers Unite - I love you Harry".

The Prince said: "I love this! Do you love your hair, the sign is amazing!"

And he appears to have been influenced by Meghan's attitude to meeting crowds - hugging one excited young girl.

As part of today's visit, the couple will visit a number of organisations which support and empower groups within the local community.

They will particularly single out Tomorrow's Women Wirral, an organisation that supports women in vulnerable circumstances.

It's a telling choice for the couple, with Meghan, 37, a passionate supporter of women's rights and equality.

The mum-to-be was last week made patron of four organisations, including Smart Works - a charity that helps support women into work.

And today's visit will be no different as she and Prince Harry, 34, visit Tomorrow's Women Wirral.

It was set up in 2011 to support women on their release from prison, offering a range of training courses and workshops for more than 6,000 local women, including support groups around mental health issues, domestic abuse and addiction.

The Duchess also officially opening Number 7, a citizen's supermarket and community cafe.

Harry and Meghan will hear from some of the women about their experiences.

The couple will also visit the Hive, Wirral Youth Zone, created by the charity OnSide Youth Zones, which is developing modern youth facilities across the UK.

The Hive aims to provide a safe environment for young people to help them build key skills and raise their aspirations and confidence.

The Sussexes also paid their respects to acclaimed First World War poet Wilfred Owen by viewing a sculpture in the town's Hamilton Square marking the 100th anniversary of his death.

Meghan Markle has hit the ground running as a royal, with her latest royal job announcements seen as a vote of confidence from the Queen.

It will be seen as a huge boost for Meghan after rumours of a tricky start to life as a royal.

It's a busy year for the couple, who will be moving to Frogmore cottage ahead of their baby's arrival.
