Paige Doherty’s mum denied final cuddle with murdered daughter, 15, as heartbroken family forced to wait a month to bury her
Pamela Munro has spoken out about the heartbreak of waiting for a post mortem examination to be carried out
PAIGE Doherty’s tormented mum has told how she wasn’t allowed to give her daughter one last cuddle as her family waited a month to bury the murdered teen.
Pamela Munro revealed her grief at not being able to hold the slain 15-year-old due to her severe wounds after she was knifed to death by evil deli owner John Leathem.
Posting on the Paige’s Promise Facebook, she said: “When we lost Paige we had to wait a month to bury her, we had to limit our visits to try and maintain her body so we could bring her home, due to her open wounds there was a significant chance that we wouldn’t get her home as time passed by.
Pamela added: “By the time Paige did come home she wasn’t Paige anymore she had no hair n wasn’t viewable not even for me, it was heartbreaking.

“This bill is trying to prevent other families going through that and setting a timescale on defence post mortems taking place. It doesn’t help our family but it does help you and every other persons who could be faced with it.”
Leathem was originally sentenced to life in prison and ordered to serve a minimum of 27 years.
But he had his jail time .
