The new addition comes as part of further renovation plans to turn the cottage's five flats into one home for the Royal couple and their baby
MEGHAN and Harry are having a £50,000 green energy unit installed at their family home courtesy of the public purse.
The low-carbon contraption will provide all the heat, hot water and electricity for Frogmore Cottage.
An army of builders with concrete mixers is already on site in the grounds of Windsor Castle, readying it for its new royal residents later this year.
Other renovations of the Grade II-listed property, which have been revealed in planning documents published by the local council, include a satellite dish outside.
A local historian, who asked not to be named, said: “Oh dear, a satellite dish. It’s not quite right.
“It’s especially troubling seeing how Harry’s father Prince Charles is so outspoken on modern aspects of architecture and building.”
It was originally known as Double Garden Cottage but its name was changed in 1875 after Queen Victoria had breakfast there.
She noted an “immense number of little frogs” which she found “quite disgusting” — adding in a letter that they made the “grass look as if it were alive”.
