A LAD has been stabbed after being chased by youths just yards from where a 14-year-old was fatally knifed in the back barely 24 hours ago.
The second victim was found with "slash" injuries to his face - around the corner from where schoolboy Jayden Moody was run down and killed last night.
Met Police said they had been alerted to reports a man was being chased by a group of youths on St Stephen's Close in Waltham Forest just before 1.30pm.
They then found a man with injuries to his face on Bromley Road - just 150 yards from last night’s stabbing.
It has not yet been confirmed the injured man, who has since been taken to hospital, was the victim of the attack that had been reported.
Eyewitnesses described seeing the victim, believed to be in his late 20s, with a cut and blood on his face.
They also said his grey top was covered in blood when he took shelter in a nearby car wash.
Undercover cops rushed to the scene and gave the man immediate medical attention.
Met Police said no arrests had been made over today's attack, with enquiries ongoing.
A spokesperson confirmed: "He was taken to a nearby hospital and his injuries have been deemed not life threatening or life changing."
There is no suggestion today's attack was related to last night's.
It comes after homicide detectives were called in to investigate the death of 14-year-old Jayden after he was killed last night.
Witnesses recounted how the teen - the youngest "murder" victim in the capital for two years - was riding a moped when a car travelling the opposite direction crashed into him.
Three men then got out of the car and stabbed the teen before making off in the extensively damaged Mercedes.
Speaking today, Chief Superintendent Richard Tucker said: "Everyone is shocked and appalled by this murder. The age of the victim, a boy aged 14, beggars belief and I completely understand the alarm and concern it has raised from those who live and work in the area.
"A crime scene remains in place today as officers continue their painstaking work to piece together the details of the attack. A section 60 was put in place following this incident and is being continually reviewed.
"I would urge the local community to be patient and cooperate where possible with the work detectives are getting on with in the area.
"My officers will be out working to support investigators today and be there to talk to the public and listen to the concerns they have. Neighbourhood patrols will be stepped up in the area and locals can expect to see more police.
