A TEENAGER is fighting for life after being stabbed outside an East London tube station today.

Blackhorse Road Station in Walthamstow was locked down this afternoon after the horror unfolded.

The 18-year-old victim was rushed to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of GBH, the Metropolitan Police confirmed tonight.

Horrified witnesses watched as emergency crews were scrambled to the station today in the latest London bloodshed.

One woman tweeted: "Whole of Blackhorse Road station is shut down. 6 days into the new year and you’re all already out to kill each other?"

A man tweeted: "Something happening at Blackhorse Road time station Walthamstow police and helicopters everywhere."

A Police spokesman said: "Officers have responded to male stabbed outside Blackhorse Road Station, E17 at 1431hrs today.

"One male taken to hospital with stab injuries.

"We await a full update on their condition.

"No arrests. Crime scene in place. Enquiries are ongoing."

A London Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called at 2.34pm today (6 January) to reports of a stabbing at Blackhorse Road underground station.
“We sent an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a car and an incident response officer, with the first of our medics arriving in six minutes. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.

“We treated a man at the scene for knife injuries and took him by road to a major trauma centre.”
