THIS is the shocking moment a van ploughed head-on into a mum's car as her toddler slept in the back seat.
Terrifying dashcam footage of the incident before Christmas has emerged on social media - showing the incident in frightening detail.
Louise Thomson, 38, was heading home near Perth with her partner at around 4.15pm on December 23 when a van heading towards them appeared to lose control on the icy surface.
The van spun sideways before crashing straight through the front of her motor.
Incredibly everyone involved appeared to have escaped with minor injuries.
The shaken mum said: "We were travelling home and the van came round the corner really fast, started going sideways then just smashed head-on into us.
"He said he didn’t realise the road was icy.
"Our three-year-old daughter was sound asleep in her car seat in the back.
"She is OK just got a fright with the impact and noise."
She added: "We both have sore faces from the airbags, legs, back and neck.
"The dashboard got pushed right into my legs."
The road had to be locked down as cops dealt with the smash.
A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed officers attended the scene.
