PC Daniel Clayton-Drabble died while driving in Northamptonshire

A POLICE officer has been killed in a car crash while off duty on Boxing Day.

PC Daniel Clayton-Drabble, aged 24, was remembered as a "popular and well-liked officer" after he died at the scene of the crash in Northamptonshire.

The crash took place between the A5 and Whittlebury near Towcester at around 7.40am.

No other parties were involved in the collision.

PC Clayton-Drabble was based at Milton Keynes police station. Next of kin has been informed.

The investigation into the collision is being carried out by Northamptonshire Police.
