SHOCKING footage shows two teenage girls laughing as they throw a terrified cat across a living room.
Video appears to capture one of the girls hurling the moggy towards a wall before it cowers under the heater.
She then picks up the moggy again and throws it at the camera in Aberdeen.
Viewers have slammed the pair after after the video was posted on Facebook on Saturday.
The girls, who are thought to be aged 17 or 18, have received death threats.
One threatened to break both of their knees while another hoped someone would her "six feet under".
The clip is believed to have been taken several years ago but was posted to Facebook last Saturday by Aberdeen community page, Aberdeen Guardians.
The page, which is usually dedicated to exposing paedophile and other criminals, stated: “You may think it’s funny to treat your cat like s***.
“We don’t. How often do you mistreat your cat? No wonder it hides from you, let everyone see you for what you are.
"Let’s not forget your past crimes.”
The first part of the clip shows a girl standing in a living room and in front of a television.
She briefly smiles and looks towards the camera before picking up a ginger cat at her feet.
She picks the cat up almost gently, before suddenly tossing it in the air across the room, while mimicking a cat screech.
Both the girl and the girl filming can be heard laughing.
The girl then approaches the cat, which is now cowering under a radiator.
She tries to coax the frightened animal out, bending down with her hand, and saying: “Come here you.”
The girl filming says: “Stop, you’re savage.”
While laughing hysterically, the girl then says: “F*** you, you kicked it.”
Both of them then laugh as the first part of the clip ends.
The second part of the clip consists of the girl again trying to coax the cat from next to the radiator.
The cat does not try to run away or fight back from her as she says: “Come here baby.”
The girl then picks up the cat and throws it at the girl filming, again mimicking a cat screech.
Both of the girls can be heard laughing and the cat runs over to behind the television.
A screenshot was later uploaded which was said to be from the girl seen in the video.
She wrote: “Look not going to beat around the bush, the video was a couple years back and I know there’s absolutely no excuse for it but I was out my face and from the bottom of my heart I didn’t mean any harm and I apologise to anybody I’ve offended and that’s really all I can say.
“What’s done is done and of course I feel horrible about it but there’s no turning back now.
“It isn’t like me to do such a thing and I am not blaming anyone else for my actions and I will deal with the consequences.
“Clearly everyone knows I don’t surround myself with the right people and I’m not saying that makes me any better but right now I need to get my head screwed on and get back to the life I should be living and grow the f* up.
“I’m disgusted and heartbroken with myself for what I’ve done to my family, friends, and everyone else I am truly sorry.”
