Shamed Corbyn ally Kate Osamor banned from Wikipedia after she kept editing her own profile

The senior Labour MP resigned from the Shadow Cabinet yesterday

THE disgraced Labour MP who quit Jeremy Corbyn's frontbench after threatening a reporter with violence has been banned from Wikipedia, The Sun can reveal.

The online encyclopaedia blacklisted Kate Osamor after she repeatedly tried to edit her own page on the site.

She attempted to remove references to a story about claims she plagiarised Barack Obama’s acceptance speech.

And she then threatened to sue the organisation if the references returned.

Ms Osamor was forced to quit as Mr Corbyn’s Shadow International Development Secretary yesterday over accusations she misled the public over her son’s drug offences and threatening to hit a journalist with a bat.

Last year the MP was caught copying the former US President’s famous 2008 speech when she was re-elected in the General Election.

She replaced the word "America" with "Labour" and her constituency name "Edmonton" in nearly identical comments.

But using the pseudonym Midnights1 Ms Osamor changed the references on her Wikipedia page and instead wrote how she had “paid homage to Barak [sic] Obama” - claiming she had “not at any time in my speech” claimed it was her original words.

Wikipedia initially warned her about “disruptive editing” but then blocked her for three days for “vandalism” after she refused to heed its warnings.

Subsequently Ms Osamor warned Wikipedia: “If I see it added again I will have no choice but to sue the editor and the platform that allowed it to be posted.”

The Sun Says

MAGINE the outrage if a Tory MP abused and threatened a Guardian reporter with a savage beating for asking questions.

That politician would be toast.
Yet somehow Corbynista Kate Osamor is still a Labour MP.

She employed her son in Parliament despite his serious drugs conviction, then lied about when she knew of it.

When a Times reporter challenged her she swore at him, threatened to beat him with a bat and threw a bucket of water over him.

She’s even banned from editing Wikipedia for doctoring her own entry.

For now, she’s off Corbyn’s front bench. But make no mistake . . .

If he wins power, this unpleasant woman will be handed a Government department.

After receiving this threat Wikipedia told Ms Osamor that she was “blocked indefinitely from editing for making legal threats or taking legal actions”.

She previously had an account called "KateOsamor" which she used to make minor edits to the personal details on her Wikipedia page - including insisting on the site using the “honorary prefix” of MP.

Ms Osamor chose not to provide a comment when contacted by The Sun.
