Russian model takes heartbreaking pics of her with her stillborn son to help other young mums cope with the loss
The boy would have been mum Yana Yatskovskaya's second child
A RUSSIAN model and beauty blogger who tragically lost her newborn baby has shared her pain online by posting a heartbreaking picture of her stillborn son.
Stunning brunette Yana Yatskovskaya, 27, uploaded the photo in a show of support for all mothers who have delivered a stillborn baby or lost a child.
The touching photograph shows Yatskovskaya cradling the tiny body of her son just after delivering him at home.
Yatskovskaya said that she was six months pregnant when she decided to go on holiday to the Maldives with her husband and three-year-old daughter.
During the holiday, she stopped feeling her baby's movements and went to a local hospital.
The doctors examined her and said that the baby's heart was not beating.
Yatskovskaya said she was "home" when she delivered her stillborn son.
She wrote: "I did not give my baby to anybody and nobody took him away from me.
"I delivered him at home and we buried him because he is a member of our family.
"He has become an angel and now protects our family from heaven."
The model explained that she wanted to support all mothers who have lost their children by sharing the picture with her 772,000 Instagram followers.
She said: "It hurts so much. All mums experiencing such incredible pain should not remain silent."
She did not mention whether the procedure took place in the Maldives or in the Russian capital Moscow, her hometown.
No further details about how the stillborn baby was delivered were available.
Sympathy for the grieving mum poured out on social media, but some criticised her for posting the picture.
User Mikhail Ivanov said: "Is this the new way to gain more followers? Please say 'no' to this, give me a little hope in humanity."
Sveta Zelenova wrote: "Why show your dead baby to everybody? It is a very strange decision."
But Elena Soloveva said: "What a heartbreaking picture. My thoughts and support go to the poor mother.
"I wish you all the strength in the world to overcome your grief."
