ISIS calls on lone-wolf fanatics to infiltrate French fuel protests to ‘kill the unbelievers’

The posters show images of weapons and encourage ISIS supporters to kill in France

TWO ISIS groups have circulated posters calling for rogue fanatics to exploit the fuel protests in France to "kill the unbelievers".

The posters depict scenes of the 'yellow vest' protests with a caption which translates as "Oh lone wolves, exploit the demonstrations and kill the unbelievers in France".

Pictures of hands wielding a knife, a gun and a flaming bottle were also featured on the poster, as well as a cartoon showing a person getting hit by a car with blood spattered everywhere.

It was reported by an intelligence group that "Two Islamic State (IS)-aligned groups separately issued posters inciting lone-wold jihadists to strike France, coming after violent protests in the capital, Paris."

The fuel protests have been taking place in France since it was announced the price of fuel would increase again on January 1.

Fuel prices have already increased 23 per cent this year and are set to increase by 6.5 cents on diesel and 2.9 cents on petrol in just over a month.

French President Emmanuel Macron has been heavily criticised for the decision and the protests that started off as contesting fuel prices have now developed into a overall attack on Macron's government.

The protesters have been dubbed the 'gilets jaunes' - which translates as the 'yellow vests' because of the high vis jackets they all wear.

This garment was chosen to display a revolt of the motorists, as all drivers in France are legally required to carry a high vis in their cars.

Violence broke out in Paris on Saturday as the yellow vests created large road blockages along the Champs Élysée, the most famous road in Paris.

Unrest in the capital ensued after a man holding a grenade was arrested in Angers, western France, earlier in the day.

Large water canons and tear gas were used by French police to control the protests, but they continued into the night.

ISIS groups have now decided to capitalise on the violent disruption as they call for supporters to kill French nonbelievers.
